1.3engines- can they be swapped with other 1.3?

Hi,
 
I broke my engine last week, a 1.3, the type with the catalyst under the car.
 
I got a slightly newer engine (1.3 from a 2 years or so newer car(95)), still from the same model series. But this engine has som small differences, the catalyst is placed in front of the engine, bolted to the manifold, the MAP sensor has some different numbers on it and so on..
 
Can a use this engine? Mostly everything, except the things mentioned was the same... I was planing to use the original cars wiring\ecu.....
 
Has ayone done this?
