EGR , disconnect it?

Default EGR , disconnect it?

Mechanic tells me that in our mild climate they disconnect them for better consumption and idling etc. Any comments?

It's illegal to disconnect them here in the US. I don't know the emissions laws there.

Which engine ??

USA models dont have EGR on the 2.0 or 2.7 in the Tucson

But it pulls my caravan like a bat out of hell!!!!
No diesel smell at all really.
