Ok Can some clear up my confusion on the AWD on 2008 Tucson.
The 4 wheel lock button, switches to 50/50 front/rear.
This gradually regresses to 100/0 front/rear between 35/40 KM/Hr.
Above that speed, Does the AWD EVERY send power to the rear?
Regardless of the lock switch position ?

4WD Lock off:
- 99% power to the front and 1% to the rear
- if the front wheels are slipping, power will be sent to the rear wheels varying up to a maximum of 50% (50/50 split)
4WD Lock on:
- 50% front / 50% rear up to approx 25-mph where the lock disengages and the system operates like 4WD Lock off
So basically, the 4WD Lock button only locks the wheels up to approx 25-mph. After you reach that speed, the button is meaningless and it operated the same whether on or off. Once you drop below the 25-mph speed, the lock engages again.
