My worst nightmare occurred, a garage fire, that totalled 5 vehicles including some of my classic cars and my Montero Sport. In looking to replace the SUV with something smaller, I am considering the Sante Fe and the Ford Escape/Mazda Tribune twins. I can't afford the new '07 SF but am looking at a 1 or 2 year old vehicle. Knowing full well that this is the Hyundai forum, I am still looking for information to help me make my decision and do not have the time to over-analyze my choices. With mountain driving in Colorado, I want the 3.5 V6. So, why did you choose the SF and are you glad you did? Did you consider the Escape/Tribune? Thanks for your help. Jack

if you can find an '06 new at a dealership I would do that, the warranty is second to none. Also my overall experience of being an owner of a Hyundai has been fabulous as compare to being an owner of a new Ford(which I have been in the past).
