Do you live in the desert, the southwest United States, or similar?

I do, and I bought a used 2005 Hyundai with 22,000 miles on it thinking to myself "Wow, this is gonna be fun the next 5 years or so to see how fast this little car is going to die every summer!"  It didn't die this summer.  That's good.

It's a 4-door automatic, my wife's round-the-town kind of car, no highway miles, very few long trips so far.
I'm really pleased with it, it doesn't have any of my 'ride' signatures on it yet, not even an upgrade in some speakers (The front tweeter is toast until it gets loud, bad connection possibly.)

I made out like a bandit buying this car, although it had an initial charcoal filter and gas cap problem from a previous owner not fully repairing after it was impacted on the left rear-end side and repaired.
Talk about me being paranoid with my first new-ish car listening and looking for things after that charcoal filter and 3 check engine lights in two months!

I really am happy with it, but manufacturers really don't understand this type of hot and dry climate is so hard on cars...
