I have a 2000 2door 4speed automatic accent with 164000 kms on it. im the 3rd owner and the transmission has previously been flushed and replaced with the last owner.
i have the following problems

-Once put in drive it takes a couple seconds for it to engage
-Shifts very roughly sometimes
-very very very slow acceleration out of first gear and then speeds up in gear 2 its almost crawling. on flat ground i can take my foot off the brake and the car wont even roll this is the main problem

any suggestions???

So what condition is the trans fluid in? Never mind what the "last" owner did.

I'd probably change the fluid myself considering most shops wouldn't use the correct fluid.

Having the torque converter stall at idle is ideal. You don't want it pulling if you can help it. What is the idle speed?
