Hey I was just wondering if it's possible to swap the Tiburon 6 cylinder engine into a 1999 Elantra sedan? Has anyone done it?
Thanks

Hi,
Space permitting, obviously the powerplant could be engineered to fit. I don't know where you are, so your local transport authorities may have some say over what you can install without referring to an engineer.
Aside from which, it would seem a lot of work and money to make a silk purse out of what is essentially a sows ear. Upgraded suspension and brakes, rewiring, etc..
Is the V6 substantially heavier than the 4? Consider the balance of the car.
Why not consider some form of forced induction? A lot cheaper, and tested methods.
Whatever you do, make sure your brakes and suspension are up to scratch.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Andrew.

I agree with Trakka that is alot of work for just a few ponies. Look into some forced induction options, if you want more power
