I had a double din clarion stereo installed and a flip down monitor in my 07 sante fe and now my air bag light stays on the installer says it will go out but it hasent so i called hyundai and ofcoarse because it is after market they said it would be 100 dollars to hook up to it. and the service guy said it might need the stock stereo which makes no sense to me. please any answers for me

Take it back to the installer; they messed something up. It's their responsibility to fix it. If they can't, they should pay for the dealer repairs (directly, not reimburse you).

so it should have nothing to do with the stock stereo being removed

Yes, I think it does; that's why I said to take it back to the stereo installer.
