i am from india and just got myself my mom's old hyundai getz 1.3
 
for those that are not familiar with india, i would say that this is not the best of places to get a car modified. I want to prepare this car with a resonable budget to be quicker and better handling than the suzuki swift 1.3 with similar mods. all suggestions are welcome.

The Getz is not sold in the U.S., so few of us will be able to help you with respect to questions specific to your car.  We might be able to help with general questions. 
 
My last car was a Ford Aspire (sold elsewhere in the world as Kia Avella, similar to Kia Pride and Mazda 121).  It had a 1.3 L engine and was pretty fun to drive with the 5-speed manual gearbox.

yeah, i think with the road conditions here, 1.3 is kinda suffiicient...
 
the major car used in indian motorsports is a suzuki 1.3 (which is basically the old suzuki swift). anyway i will post the progress of my upgrade and hope it might help start a discussion on this with other getz users worldwide....
