Help, 02 Elantra w/03 Cylinder Head

I need a little help with anissue that just arose.  My wifes 02 Elantra blew a head gasket last year and the head cracked so I got a used one from a used parts distributer a few months ago.  I sent the used head away to the machine shop and had it rebuilt.  I put the new head on the car and got almost everything finished.  When I tried to put the Valve cover back on the car........it wouldn't FIT!   I now realize the head is off of an 03 Elantra not an 02 as the parts place told me.  My question is, if anyone knows, will the 03 cylinder head work on an 02 Elantra if I gete a new vlave cover?   Thanks in advance!

don't have idea since head gasket canada had their specific year range and model for specific type of head gaskets..but perhaps you can ask a friend mechanic 'bout it.
