Over the last couple months, I have had an issue where I will have to turn my key a few times before it will actually turn and start the car. Well starting yesterday, I have had to try to turn the key for about 30 seconds before it will turn. Anybody know if this is possibly a known issue with the ignition of 2003 Elantras? Or possibly the key actually wearing down? I don't have a spare key so I am unable to test with that.
Thanks for any help,

You're ignition key cylinder is worn out and needs replacement.
Its a pain in the ass that needs to be done asap before the pins in there snap and leave you stranded.
Will probally run anywhere from $250-300 at the dealership.

Thanks for the reply. Funny thing is that since I posted my original message, I haven't really had any issues with turning the key in the ignition. However, I forgot to mention that I have the same problem when trying to unlock my car door.

Get a copy of your key made. Even if it is worn, a new copy on a fresh blank may work better.
