Talking Long trip info

Well I decided to take my 2009 Hyundai Accent GS on a road trip. I wanted to see how well the car would handle a long trip and wanted to give my SUV a break. I traveled from Salt Lake City, Utah to Tucson, Arizona, about 900 miles one way.
I had two adults and two kids plus luggage. We stayed overnight in Vegas to relax and have some fun.
The gas mileage I was expecting for the highway driving should have been 35 mpg but the average mpg I got for the highway was 30 mpg! Maybe this was due to the weight in the car and my speed (average speed on highway was 80 mph). I spent $75 in gas for one way...
As for the car, everything worked and no problems came up, thankfully. The car handled good on the road, although going up the steep hills in Utah gave the engine something to work for. The car would stay in OD and creep up the hill or I would disengage the OD and I was able to pick up speed. I didn't expect anything spectacular, just as long as we made the trip with no problems.
As for the kids and us, everybody was comfortable and the seats were good for about 150 miles before I had to stop and stretch my legs. Overall it was a good trip with no downfalls... but the question is would I do this again??
