HI-
My 2000 sonata GLS V6 has a steady Check Engine Light. I pulled the codes and get the 0117 code for the Coolant circuit. I assume that I have to change out the temp sender. Where is it located on the V6? Any other ideas what would cause the 'Coolant circuit malfunction'?
Thanks
Rick

It's screwed into same casting that the upper radiator hose is connected to on the engine. Look for a plug that has a wire harness connected to it.

the coolant temp sensor is different from the sending unit. normally a 19mm wrench or socket can remove it. you should take care of that problem, it can cause the car to overheat.
