Paint issue

Hi all,

I was at the car wash earlier when I noticed that the water jet was literally stripping the paint away from under the driver's door.... It was coming off in strips of about 1-2 cm and the smooth metal (not Al !) surface is now bare, the paint that came off is a stretchy plastic-like substance and not like the standard car-paint I know from my previous car.... (the car was not resprayed or anything)

The car is still under a dealer's warranty (going there Thursday) but I find this very surprising !!

Has anyone else here had a similar problem, and if yes - how did you solve it ? Why is this paint different to standard car-paint ?

(this is a 2.7 coupe from 2002)

Turned out at the end it was a primer issue on the bumper... Although it was cold and smooth to touch, it was damn plastic :P Got them mounted again today.... all back to normal. :)
