Do any of you guys know what would be the best performance chip to get for a 2000 tib?

There aren't any that work.
Do some real mods.

Sadly chips don't do tha much. All they do is dump too much fuel to your engine which kills gas mileage and if you can't compensate with enough intake you'll run rich and smoke a little. The best bet for entry level mods is a CAI and an exhaust, both of which aren't to expensive.

not true...ebay chips do that....actual ECU's make a pretty big difference by changing fuel maps and tuning for the engine....BSE makes an ECU for the same year elantra..let me know if you want any info on it

That is very true. On the other hand though chips and ECU's are a completely different animal. Chips fool your computer, an ECU remaps it and works in tandem with all of your systems. An ECU is the way to go just a little more pricey

there are good "chips" BSE's chip is a piggy back which is soldered onto the actual ECU .... so chips are good as long as you get the right ones

Hmmm.... interesting stuff. Explain to me the re-mapping techniques used by this chip if you can.
