There was no '02 Tiburon. Look at edmunds.com:

2001 was the last of the previous body style and the new style started in 2003.

My '04 has been a great car and so far, trouble free. The only problem I'm aware of is the same with all Hyundai cars: the window lift motors. So far, mine have been good.

On early model tiburons we had the sunroof motor and relay replacement. Most late model ones have only had the window motor issues which is on very few. We have never had brake issues with them. Clutches tend to be seasonal when people like to race. They are pretty dependable cars , no major issues.

Hey ya Tech..........I tend to believe ya in fact the brakes are alot better than they give credit for...I'm at 21,000 mi on mine , and I'm not excactly nice to my car either.and my pads are still at 50% . As far as the shifting issue...well a simple adjustment for the tilt pull on the cable eliminated my third gear miss shift concern...........after snapping 2 shifter cables I had to take a good look at how I planned on driving the lil car, cuz when ya plan on jammin third forward and fast it has to accurate or ya get that cool crunch noise ( not good)or ya bend the shifter cable (and that sucks). So I gotta beleive if the car can take the abuse I give it .....it's come along ways from when Hyundai's first came out

I think simpl sexy is just not used to trac control but I wouldnt recomend a automatic either, but as far as clutches the stock ones are preety weak I put a turbo in a 98 tiburon and the clutch was gone a week later
