I recently removed the door panels to install power door locks. I scratched the door panel when removing the window crank. The scratches are not very deep. Any suggestions on who to cleanup the scratches? I've heard that toothpaste is an option. I need something that isn't very abrasive.

Be careful if toohthpaste is the way your going. Some toothpastes contain abrasives. Trust me I know this. Colcate use to be my toothpaste of choice when cleaning the barracks floor in basic training. LOL

If the scratch is just a white mark but not deep, and you have a very light touch. Heat will sometimes remove the marks, but too much and kiss the panel goodbye.

I know my door panels were buggered up a bit, Crest and a small heat gun fixed everthing except the big/deep scratches.

Go the easy route and give a good buff with meguirs, mothers, or turtle wax.

Meguires, mothers or turtle wax works on the interior door panels? I didn't think to try that. Does it leave a residue or do you just need to do the whole panel?

do the whole panel, if you are buying wax get one that best matches your panel color.
