Should I buy it? or Wait?

hello, I want to buy an Elantra 2007 but I don't know if I should buy it now or wait. I do like the 2,000 factory rebate that is going on right now but it expires in October. I'm not sure if there will be another special like this one. I want the Elantra with the AC option/automatic transmission. My local dealer quoted the car at $13,600 with $500 off price if I go through their financing. I am planning on putting 6000 down and financing the rest. But I am not sure If I should wait till next year and get the 08 and perhaps buy it without financing it. What do you guys think? Is that a good price? I checked edmunds.com and it is slightly under TMV. I mean this is what they have told me over the phone, it might be a different story once I get there and I'll have my info handy.
