Don't know why you're not getting a reply, so I'll throw in my 2 cents.
I'm new to the Tiburon but not to modifying cars and it has been my experience that these computer add ons, chips, whatever, rarely make a niticable difference. 300 bucks is a lot to spend and then wonder if you feel a difference.
My advice would be to steer clear of it and spend the money on a better exhaust and air intake. Just getting the thing to inhale and exhale better will give you a pretty big seat of the pants difference.

yeah,,no matter what type of chip it is, most of them don't do anything but just foul out spark plugs, make your car run rich or lean, and all the other stuff that makes a car run poorly. Of course there are a few chips out there that actually make a difference, but venom has been know to not do a damn thing. intake and exhaust is a good idea, or if you have a manual, get a lightweight flywheel, that gave me the biggest gain of all, made the car a lot more fun to drive. if you did a full exhaust from the headers back, intake, and light wieght flywheel, and short throw shifter to help with better shifting, you can easily gain a solid 15hp at the wheels and signifigantly lower you 0-60 time and 1/4 mile time.
then if you're not happy after that, SPRAY THE DAMN THING, LOL. under $400 to gain 50-75hp,

Hey turb,
What flywheel did you go with and v-6 or four?

i have a 2001 with the 2.0 and bought an 11lbs chromoly flywheel. i think it was made by xtd,,,under $200 and was deffiantly the best upgrade i've done. i beleive the stock is about 22-23lbs, so rotating mass was basically cut in half. drivability is a lot better, shifts are a lot faster, and it holds the rpms up where it counts. if you decide to get one, go with a chromoly, not alumimum. chromoly is a lot stronger and just at light. also depending on the upgrades you already have or plan on doing, you might want to get a stage 1 clutch, you can go with stock, but a race clutch will seal the deal. a stage 1 for an I4 is about $90, not sure for the v6.

Speaking from experience, I used a Venom 400 in my old Mitsubishi Eclipse.
WELL worth money.
You notice a distinct change in high rpm pulls, and about 1-2% better mpg.
The 400 along with an intake and good exhaust is the best way to start a car out with mods.

yea ive read good things about it but i wonder how it would do in a tiburon....why didnt u switch it to ur tib after?

With the way my Eclipse was set up,  it would have damaged the turbo boost psi and the fuel tune if I removed it, so it stayed in the car.

ok,,,so everyone has their opinions and thier experience, but seriously,,,$300-400 for a chip that "might" work,,,or $170 for somehting that will deffinantly work(flywheel),,,,or if you really wanted to spend $300-400, go to ebay,,type in "dynojet nitrous kit" , they have a universal dry kit that will work good on a tiburon and as long as your engine is sound, their will be no problems,,,but if you don't take care of your car and don't change fluids, beat the crap out of it, sloppy shiftings, and redlining without care and,,,yadda yadda,,,there is no point in doing anything to your car unless you want to blow it up, lol.

buying parts off of eBay.... *sigh*

whats wrong with buying parts off ebay? i've never had a problem,,,why pay hundreds for something that isn't worth it? maybe some of you have money pouring out your ass, but most of us don't,,,,your "sign" is uncalled for and really shows bad etiquette. if you want to go somewhere and pay $700 for a clutch when you you can get it off ebay for about 200-300,,,well then, go spend your money, but dont' knock the people that would rather pay less for somehting that will perform in the same way. unless you're one of those "namebrand" guys, if you would rather pay for the name then the performance,,be my guest,,but dont' come down on us for looking for a deal.

Theres "getting a deal", then theres getting a complete knock off piece of junk for that awesome deal.
eBay is a terrible place to buy parts, simple as that.
Many companies on there are selling items that are simply ineffective.
Buy some "stainless steel headers" off eBay and watch the welds break in a week.

Buying parts is all about who you know.
I don't have "money pouring out of my ass", but I know where to get what I need for a great price.

Its cool dude, to each his own, but like i said, i've never had a problem and if i do, i know how to fix them. it pays to knwo how to weld and trouble shoot. the headers i bought, yeah, weren't the "best quality" but with a little work, they work just as good as a set would cost me 300-400. if you want something that is direct fit and aren't a complete head ache to deal with,, yeah, dont' buy off ebay, but thats how i learn to do the stuff myself. and i've had the headers for close to a yr and the welds are still in great shape.   i didn't mean to come off as an ass if thats how it seemed. we're all car people and we are all here to help and be helped.
