Hi everyone just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem to this and knows what it is a few months ago my 98 hyundai excel wouldnt start i thought it was the immobilizer but the light on the immmobilizer was working fine but my it wouldnt click on my car. a few times before that the car had just completely cut out while i was driving i left it in the driveway for a few weeks then it just started working again. now it is doing the same thing again...is the immobilizer connected through the main computer in this model??? Please help.

 

Check the Crank Position Sensor. My dealer said that is the most likely culprit when an older Hyundai when it just quits and won't start. In your case, it could be an intermittent connection.
