Default Reving problem

Hello everyone,
Any help you can give me would be great! 2004 Hyundai Elentra 5 speed39,000K
Ok, here is my porblem. When I start my car it rev's alot longer then it should then it will die down. Also, when I am driving it will do the same thing, but not every time. it also doesn't do it an any particular gear. But sinceI use the lowergears most often (city driving) thats when it seems to happen. Sometimes it will stop by itself, or sometimes I need to hit the gas a little for it to stop. its been happening for not quite a week now. I am taking it in for servace tomorrow7/27/07)and was wondering if its something that is going to cost me lots of $$$. Thanks to anyone that can help.

It could be a lot of things... it should be covered under warranty. Check to see if anything is making the Accellerator pedel stick... make sure it moves freely... also make sure that the Floor Mat is not up against it, causing it to get stuck... Just basic stuff that i've seen this type simptom before.
