2000 Accent Oil Pressure warning light question
On the dash panel, there is a spot for the oil pressure warning light, but it does not illuminate at all. When I turn the Accent on, the check engine light, air bag light, and the door light are lit. All except the Air Bag go out. My first question is does the oil warning light come on with the check engine light when you turn the key or does it stay off until there is low pressure? If it's supposed to be on when the key is in run, but not started, where can I check for a bad connection? The bulb isn't the issue since I replaced it with the lit Air bag light and still no light at all. I used a multimeter to see what voltages were across each of the lit circuits. Both the Air bag and door were 11.47 volts, but the oil pressure was 13. something mV. I just replaced the oil pressure switch by the exhaust manifold so that can't be the issue. I wonder where that circuit goes to along the electrical path and see where it cuts out. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
