How do I add OEM or OEM style lights to my 2009 Accent GLS. I just bought this car and would like to add fog/driving lights to the lower part of the grill. I assume that I will have to buy the grill that accommodates the fog lights. Is there existing wiring that I can take advantage of? Is it possible to add the lights and plug them in along with the dash switch? Maybe I'll check out a junkyard to see if they have any wrecks with the fog light setup. Any advice would be appreciated.

 

i was gonna to a similar thing to my 07 accent but i already have the foglights. but what you can do is tap into the +/- wires coming off the headlights that way when you turn your headlights on the foglights come on. if you wanna get technical you can run wires right off the battery or alternator, but be sure you have fuses on em so they dont blow out the lights, then you can mount a switch inside the car to turn them on as you please.

I'm being a little obsessive with this and am trying to add the OEM lights. I bought the parts (lights, grill, relay) and am now looking for the stock switch and sockets for the lights. I find it odd that upon visiting a Hyundai dealer, and asking about having the OEM lights installed, they looked at me like I had three heads. I was stunned... OK... if you don't want my money then hey... whatever... lol. I'll probably find time to work on it this weekend.
