Hyundai Elantra While not much larger than the accent, the Elantra offers similar room, but a sportier look and feel, as well as more power.

Default 2012 Elantra - first service

I've had my 2012 Elantra since Labor Day (4 months) and have about 2700 miles on it. The handbook seems to call for first service at 3750. At the rate I'm putting miles on this car, is there any downside to waiting until I get to 3750, or should I go sooner rather than later since it has been 4 months?

No downside. You can wait. What's another 5 weeks?

I don't see any downside to waiting. I got my elantra in late Septemeber, got sick and have about 2300 miles ( about 600 miles was driving home from the dealer) and plan to wait until I hit the recommended mileage for servicing.
