When you bought the car it should have come with a couple of tools in the glove box. There are 2 little metal hooks that you use to pull the trim ring from around the radio, then 2 sheet metal pieces that you slide in the sides then pull the radio out.
If you don't have them and are located in Calgary you can use mine

Badly, I'm in Quebec... My glove box was empty when I take my car for the first time... I called my Hyundai vendor, in pieces departement and the guy tell me that there is no "tool" to remove my radio. He tell me to go in "radio" shop like FutureShop or BestBuy...

I check also on website where I bought my new radio... even no removal tool for touring... Do you think I can remove the radio without that tool????

Yeah the tools looked really simple. Mine even came with a diagram showing how to use them along with the radio manual all in the glove box. If you like I'll take pictures of them and the diagram when I get home tonight, this may help you?

I thought from the user name you were in quebec but I thought I'd offer anyways

Here are the pictures of the diagram for removing the radio and the tools:

The full sized images are way too big to embed here so I linked the (annoying) imageshack pages. Let me know if I can help with other pictures.

You can probably cut an old credit card or other plastic piece to match the sheet metal bits and a bent paperclip will probably do for removing the trim ring.

If you remove the radio, please take pictures of the opening behind it. I am curious about whether the radio slot is angled to match the fascia, or if the front of the radio is the part which is angled?

Hello everyone, I just found this thread and I can't see the pictures posted by zero10. I guess they just no longer exist. I'm really interested in seeing the "hooks" described by zero10. I need to pull out the plastic ring around the radio and I don't want to break it. Any information would be appreciated!
