Glove Box Damper experience

Glove Box Damper experience
I went to replace the cabin air filter and forgot to release the glove box damper so I broke the yellow plastic cap that holds the damper together. I tried just pressing the cap back on the tube but it won't stay so I am ordering a new one.
I checked the Hyundai sites, the cheapest was just over $50. I checked the same part number through Kia and the cheapest was $38. Shipping was $15 from a Hyundai place, $12 from Kia. Obviously, I ordered the part from Kia for just over $50 total. Will advise when it comes in but have high expectations that the parts will be the same (same part number in both parts listings).

Here's the part number: 845484D100
It's the same in the Kia parts listings and the Hyundai parts listings. I think I have to pull the glove box assembly to do the swap as the upper mounting bolt is hidden behind the glove box structure.
I'll post back once I get the part and do the swap. Probably 1-2 weeks to get the part.
