Just paired my new iPhone 5 to my Genesis V8 with Tech Pkg.

When I try to use Siri for any task, it must be set to pre-set 1, because it initiates dialing my own cell number.

Anyone figure out how to fix this issue?

No. Service Mgr. said it was an Apple issue because they keep making changes and not letting Hyundai know about them. Yeah, Ok...

 

Yeah, that is right, usually it takes some time for other car manufacturer to update their system so that to make iphone work. Thanks.

 

The "No Cost" software for Android & Apple CarPlay in Hyundai Genesis does not work! There is no fix as of yet - Hyundai is "working on it" and should have an answer or solution "soon" - My fully loaded 2016 Hyundai Genesis continues to try to "update" and "Download" and issues warning "Your Download was unsuccessful. Would you like to try again?" Very distracting while driving - alarming almost. I feel that kind of distraction could be a liability as it is an unexpected announcement! (it's also embarrassing when taking clients to events - they ask if there is something wrong with my car! If you are unable to get downloads and updates with your vehicle, please contact Hyundai and complain. My "full loaded car" was presented as something that would 'update and download' automatically -- and that isn't the case whatsoever. I pursuing this issue and hope that others who might recognize this as a genuine concern will follow thru with Hyundai as well! JTR777
