I sometimes, like today, get into my car, turn the key, and the radio, and windows work just fine, but the engine will not turn over. I wait usually about twenty minutes or so, trying now and then and finally it starts up as if nothing was ever wrong. It never has happened when the car has sat for several hours or more, but happens when the car has been parked for probably an hour or less. I can go months without it happening, or sometimes there are just weeks in between. I so far have been fortunate in that it has not happened when I am trying to get to work or elsewhere where I have to be there at a specific time. I took it to the dealer about a year ago and they could find nothing wrong.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, were you able to find a solution?

I see that Consumers Reports rates this years model as less than average when it comes to electric and I just remembered that at times, when I have the fan on, it ebbs and flows, sort of like the wind, not staying a constant speed.

At any rate, I do appreciate any help you can offer.

 

I would clean battery cables and ground connections.
