Have a 2013 Sport. Love it EXCEPT. On at least five occasions I have had a acceleration problem. I leave a stop sign/light and when I make my turn I try for a little more sped and sometimes the car will not accelerate. The last time I pushed the accelerator to the floor and then had to pump the gas. The result of doing this usually results in the Turbo kicking in jerking my head back. Feel this can cause a dangerous situation. Dealer said they can find no problem. Anyone else have this experience???

What car? "Sport" isn't a car, it's a trim level. Santa Fe Sport, Sonata Sport, Veloster Sport?

Many times that is normal, it's called turbo lag. It takes a little while for the exhaust to spool up the turbo and make boost.

Is this in the US or a different country?

 

Have a 2013 SanteFe 2.0 Sport. On numerous occasions when leaving a light, etc. in getting up to speed the engine will act as though it cannot get gas. Anyone else have this happen???

Have you ever driven a turbo car before? Is it just turbo lag? Go to a dealer and have it checked out.
