Default 2013 Santa Fe | Garage door opener programming

I followed all the instructions in the HomeLink manual with a Genie garage door opener - no luck. Tried the "manual" programming as well - no luck. I called the toll free number for HomeLink only to hear the same instructions all over again - certainly no help.

I just sent Homelink an e-mail via their "contact us" link, so we'll see where that takes us.

But, I'd certainly like to know if they're any tricks to performing this simple task ...

I have the same vehicle and garage door. Worked fine. Followed the instructions and Had to press the learn button located on garage door motor. (Rolling code) Clicked through the button sequence twice. Remember to hold (and keep holding for 20 seconds) the remote about 3" from the mirror, face towards the light on said mirror. I say this because I too had trouble linking the doors.

Ps. If you have SATNAV don't program you actual home address. Use another down the road. Otherwise a theft that steals your car can get into your house. Good luck
