Code P0441 2007 Santa Fe 2.7L
Hello everybody. New member. Have my 2007 Santa Fe for several years now. No problems what-so-ever!
However, engine light came on and the code read is P0441. From reading other threads, seems as if most common problem related to this is PCV stuck, which can be either cleaned or replaced. Any information about where is it located, how to remove? clean etc?

I don't know what you are reading but P0441 is a Purge Valve problem, not a PCV problem.

What you are looking for is located by the throttle body (#1 in the pics below). It's a couple of hose clamps and an electrical connection. Hope this helps:
1 Purge Control Solenoid Valve (PCSV)
Purge Control Solenoid Valve (PCSV) is installed on the surge tank and controls the passage between the canister and the intake manifold. It is a solenoid valve and is open when the PCM grounds the valve control line. When the passage is open (PCSV ON), fuel vapors stored in the canister is transferred to the intake manifold.

Next step...
So, I removed the rubber section of the air manifold to expose the PCSV, which is actually completely behind the throttle body. I was able to remove the lower clamp but not sure how to release the electrical connection. Also, I was concerned that after removing the upper clamp, I may have a problem putting it back. So I sprayed some carb cleaner through the inlet to the valve without removing it. Not sure if it did anything. How do I release the electrical connection? Any specialty tool which improves access to the upper clamp?

^. Correct push or squeeze the lower part of connector to release. The clamp is a pain to remove. Long needle nose pliers, squeeze and twist and push at the same time. I usually slice hose with a razor to get it started since its usually stuck to nipple. Also make sure to install new valve in the correct direction. Arrow facing the intake side

I'm the original owner of an '07 Santa Fe GLS with 102K miles. Last weekend, my Check Engine light came on for the first time. Had it read at Auto Zone. It is P0441. Sounds like it could be time for a new purge control valve.
Is there a way to test this valve to know for sure that this is the culprit?
