My 2008 santa fe has a whole new front end all of a sudden i hear this grinding noise on the front passenger side my son check it out greased the axle and there is metal coming out with grease please twll me could this be the axlw broken

 

The grinding noise is an indicator of metal wear/fatigue
And the metal coming out indicates that the axle is wearing
Recommend it be replaced
But, you should have your mechanic look at it
Or if you're sure then replace it yourself
