Default santa fe 2007 diesel engine any problems?

hi guys!

I'm thinking of getting the santa fe 2007 however i've heard from several friends (used car salesman) saying that the hyundai diesel engines are unreliable under hot weather condition. I'm staying in Brunei Darussalam. We have hot weather throughout the year and I'm worried that I will encounter problems after getting it.

I like to get some opinion from this forum as well...
Does anyone owns one and has been using it for at least 1 or 2 years (and stays in the same sort of warm/hot weather condition there like mine)?

Although this friend of mine did not specifically said that the Santa Fe 2007 has problem, they said in general ...an example was the previous Hyundai cars...ie Accent, etc

Is this true?
