Default speedometer not working has ABS & TCS

I'm going to post this because everything else I find is for non ABS/TCS models or too generic. I have a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.7l. As mentioned it has ABS and TCS. The speedometer and odometer do not work, as well as the cruise control. I have read that the speedometer gets it's signal from the RF wheel speed sensor on the ABS/TCS models however, my mechanic says that according to his scan tool it shows signal from all wheel sensors. I only have his word to go on as my cheap *** scanner is limited for average idiots (like me I guess). My question is, how can I diagnose this accurately? I don't want to throw parts at it especially when a wheel sensor is nearly $100. I'm also reluctant to just throw an instrument cluster at it for the same reason. Seems to me that the Cruise not working eliminates the instrument cluster anyways. Every fuse in the car checks out OK and no codes are present. Any experience with this? Any knowledge/help?
Thank you

The sensor might be fine but the tone ring on the axle may be cracked and giving false readings. Don't just check the sensors, check the tone rings too.
