Default tps

I replaced the tps on my 2004 3.5 Hyundai Santa Fe and cannot keep it running. Has no power when I step on the gas. Does not rev up. Is there an adjustment I should have made? Somewhere? I am going to put the old tps back in to see if the same problem occurs. Any help?Got that part figured out - have the tps installed correctly, took it for a ride and noticed the check engine light - don't believe it was on before. So to check it i disconnected the battery to delete check light engine codes. Reconnected the battery and now the car will not starty at all. Cranks but will not turn over. Am about to start all over - any suggestions????????
