I own a 2003 v6 sonata in Quebec

I got the check engine light on since last week and abs light on too not lucky lol

I want to buy a code reader to know the problem by myself, I have in mind the equus 3140 or 3160 and would like to know the best code reader for the sonata

I read the equus 3160 diagnose the abs but only for american cars, so can someone tell me if it does work only with american cars for abs.

i use an Autel Maxiscan MS300 scanner for my 2002 sonata. the canadian thing shouldn't matter, it's all OBDII canbus. cheap too, it was like 20 dollars. works well, erases codes, and comes with code book.

 

I used the elm 327 OBDII device with free software EasyOBDII as all other programs who comes with the CD need a serial number to be used.

long time before I could make an update, with the error you can see on the picture, I changed the mass air flow sensor, the check engine light dissapeared for one day only ! gr.. gr...

the 2 code errors are
P0501 Vehicle Speed Sensor Range/performance

and

P0100 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Malfunction

if anybody can help
