So I got the new car and couldn't figure out where to put my cell phone while driving. I tried underneath the vents (why they put the vents UNDER the radio bewilders me - i can barely reach the stereo b/c its up so high - i'm only 5'7" and drive pretty reclined) with the nice grippy bottom but i couldnt see the phone light up. I keep the stereo up pretty high so i dont hear the phone ring. i ordered this mount - it cost me $50 w/ the mount for the phone as well

if you need a place to put your cell phone this mount is awesome. I can see the phone light up in the dark b/c its right in front of my face. i can use the speaker phone and see who's calling as well from this location. in addition if you use the 12volt on the driver side the power cord will reach your phone as well.
