Default Poor AM/FM radio reception

I'm sure that I'm not the only 2011 Sonata owner to have this problem. I can literally be within a mile of an AM station and get nothing but buzz/static. Yes my car has dealer installed window tinting which I've been told contributes to this situation. Does anyone out there know of any remedy for this short of removing the window tint from the rear window? Here in West Texas that is not an acceptable solution. Why would a dealer install a product knowing that it would denigrate radio reception? I've been told that Hyundai service engineers are aware of this problem. If so what is their suggested solution?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Smile antenna booster for AM radio

The antenna booster, located inside the passenger side C pillar, was unplugged on the 2011 Sonata that I just bought. The dealer removed the plastic panel, plugged in the electrical power to the booster and I had AM radio all up and down the dial.
By the way, I was getting FM reception before the fix but not AM.

Our dealer uses a special tint to resolve this issue. I'm not sure of what brand/ type they use but can find out
