Hello all Terracan owners and past owners, this is my first post on this forum. Maybe my question seems odd, but I am looking to buy used Terracan because I need strong vehicle which can pull horse trailer (2500kg)! I am interested in diesel engine, and in Croatia (Europe), there are two available, 2.9 with 110kw (150hp), and 120kw (163hp). I have 4 questions!
1. I would like to know which engine is better?
2. In general, which is the best Terracan I can buy, considering the year of production (my resources allows me to consider the car manufactured between year 2001. till 2006.)?
3. And the third question is about gear box. Manual or automatic? Which on has proved to be better?
4. I have reed somewhere that the Terracan has not been equipped with ESP and TEMPOMAT (cruise control), but in German used car market I have sow some cars (both the first and second generation) that have ESP and tempomat , so if someone can tell me was the ESP&cruise control part of extra equipment, or this is just incorrect statement by the sellers or it can be custom-made? Al information about this cars problems, thing to beware of are very welcome because I did not found any thing very useful about this car in my country. Thank you in advance!
