Default 01 tibby Color code for stereo wiring?

Hello, i just bought a 2001 tibby, and im trying to put in my new Stereo into it, the problem im having is that the person that had the car before cut their stereo out BEHIND the factory harness thus making me have to splice the wires myself. Would anyone happen to know What the color codes are for the wires? green/white, green, green/black etc. etc. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here are three forum threads pertaining to your problem. I think the last one has a color code table for radio harnesses in an Elantra, which matches the color code for Sonata's of the same or similar vintage. I'm betting the codes for the 01 Tiburon are the same.

I've actually allready checked the link that you gave me, and the colors shown on those dont work for the tibby. There are colors which i dont have in there, and also some colors that are missing in there that i DO have. i would just read the writing on the wires but they are cut too far back to see unless i take the dash apart, which im really trying to avoid because it is all custom work. I know i could also take the door panels off and see what colors are attached to which speakers, but im trying to aviod doing that as well for obviose reasons. Can NE 1 Else help me?

Specific for the 01 Tiburon. Wire color coded in schematic. From http://www.hmaservice.com/

This is my translation of the schematic. Yes, some colors are repeated but I've seen that before in Hyundai radio harnesses. A multimeter will help you determine which is which in what's left of your harness. There may be an extra wire in the harness for a power antenna, but the schematic indicates none is used by the stock radio setup.

OOPS, I see I made mistake typing my table (I never claim to know how to type). Pin #14 should read "Illumination (+)". Color is correct for pin #14.

great that helps alot. now just one more dumb question. How will i know which wire is (+) and which is (-) if they are the same color? for example there are two white wires one is the left rear neg, and the other is the right rear pos. how will i tell up front on the harness which white wire is which? there arnt any markings such as a white stripe down one to indicate weather or not the wire is (+) or (-).?

There's only two ways I know of. 1) Use a multimeter to test for continuity. This means exposing the speaker connection to one of the two back speakers. or 2) Hook up the system and hope you guess correctly. You have a 50/50 chance of being correct for each pair colored the same. The wiring schematic did not indicate stripes were coded on these wires. I would think getting access to the back speakers should be relatively easy compared to pulling a door panel.
