Aftermarket auto dim rear view mirror
Hi all, first time poster here.
Just purchased a 2017 Tucson Sport. Never thought I'd be buying a Hyundai, but when test driving models this beat out the Honda CRv and the Toyota RAV. Hope it lasts.
Anyway, one of the little things that the option package did not come with is an auto dim rear view mirror.
Other than going with the more expensive OEM hardwire and installation, I'm wondering if there is a cheaper aftermarket alternative.
Thanks

Ok, I finally installed an auto dimming/home link rear view mirror on my 2017 Tucson Sport. That was one thing that I was surprised that this model did not come with.
I went ahead a got the correct one from the Hyundai Accessories website for $265.
I know there were cheaper generic options out there, but I'm glad I went with this one.
It came complete with detailed instructions, wiring, connectors, wrap ties,........everything.
Instructions included everything from wiring connections and wiring routing, to the partial disassembly of the A-pillar and fuse box side panel.
I was able to do everything myself.

Good for you. Like you, I'm surprised your Tucson didn't have the mirror. We bought a stripped 2016 manual transmission Elantra for under $13,000. But our "stripped" Elantra still had Cruise Control, A/C.... & the auto dimming mirror. Also, my wife loves the manual 6 speed Elantra, but hates our automatic 6 speed Elantra, even tho she has a bad stop & go commute to work. Me... I love the direction finder on the auto dimming mirror.
