My 2015 Tucson

My 2015 Tucson
A couple of weeks ago, one of Florida's more senior citizen drivers failed to stop on the "turn on red" intersection and hit the passenger side of my 2015 Tucson rear door and quarter panel. Her insurance is paying for the repairs, but I could not believe the cost of the repair. It was over $2600. They need to replace the rear door as there was some damage to the "crash bar" behind the door skin. Cheaper to just replace the door than to fix the damage. Also the plastic rocker cover molding will be replaced, the rear wheel refinished and a four wheel alignment. They will paint the rear quarter the new door and blend in paint through the front door.
It was all a slow speed collision, but she gad a 91 Buick Lesabre and her car had a small dent of the hood, left fender and broken head light.
They will have the car a week or so. Her insurance via Enterprise gave me a Dodge Journey seven passenger AWD BLACK SUV. Black is no car color for Florida sun. It gets unbelievably hot when parked for even a couple of minutes. The Journey seems rather thirsty as I'm getting 15-16 mpg. My Tucson gets about twice that.
