TrueDelta reports absolute repair rates that make the differences between cars much clearer. Results are updated four times a year, to track cars closely as they age.

We currently provide results for most Hyundai models, but haven't had enough Veracruz owners participating. Close, but not quite there.

Participants simply report repairs the month after they occur on a one-page survey. When there are no repairs, they simply report an approximate odometer reading four times a year, at the end of each quarter.

To encourage participation, participants receive full access to all results, not just those for the Veracruz, free of charge.

We have updated results for the Veracruz to include owner experiences through June 2009. In terms of successful repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2008: 127, worse than average, small sample size

2007: 69, about average, but very small sample size

The difference between the two model years is probably due to the sample sizes rather than any actual difference. The actual repair rate is probably in between these results for both years.

2008: 106, worse than average

2007: 68, about average, but very small sample size, so less accurate than the result for the 2008
