So. About to my wits end with this car. I have replaced every little thing pretty much from the bottom to the top. The problem I am having now is when depressing the brake petal the car dies. At first I thought it was the check valve on the booster. After checking the booster and determining that it was fine I am at a loss. I don't believe a electrical draw from the brake lights or any nonsense like that. Once again I am at a loss. The only code that shows up is the crank sensor which was replaced when the Hermonic balancer was replaced....twice. Anyone else ever have this problem or did I just get a lemon to begin with?

Are you just depressing the brake pedal when the engine stalls?
Or are you in gear when the engine stalls?
What is the rpm when you depress the brake pedal?
Can you depress both the accelerator pedal and brake pedal to get pass this initial problem?

It's at initial start up. If I feather the throttle to get it out of park the car jerks then goes into limp home mode. Rpms are about at 1200 then when petal is even be army touched drops to 500 then dies within seconds. Only when pressing petal.

I have no idea why it would do that.
But, my first step is to scan the ECU for any trouble codes
There should be at least one if it goes into limp home mode

The only time I have ever seen something like this is when the engine is started by remote.
So that anyone trying to steal the car will never get it into gear.
Press the brake to release the gear selector and the engine shuts down.
So, the question is do you have a remote starter? Or any alarms system?

Nope. No remote, no alarms. Only code that comes up is the crank sensor. I've changed it twice thinking the first one was bad but car keeps spitting out same code.

The crankshaft sensor is used by the ECU to determine the timing of the spark and injector pulse.
I am sorry I can't help.
If it were my car then I would be looking at the powers and grounds to the sensor while depressing the brake pedal to see if there is some sort of short circuit??

Good luck

I know you don't believe in an electrical draw
But, if the brake circuit is somehow grounding the crankshaft sensor
Then it will make the engine stall.
