Daughter borrowed my car last snow storm and while driving a piece of ice or rock twisted the power steering belt and some how messed with the timing belt. started taking it apart today. Have covers off, belt does look crappy. 125,000 miles. What are my odds the motor is a large boat anchor. Would getting it back in time and a compression test my best option. Thanks any help will be greatly appreciated,

 

Don't know the condition upon which this happened
So, for the cost of a timing belt ...
Put it in with correct timing
Test by starting
If it doesn't start then you have your answer
If it does start then hope for the best

 

Thanks for the help, tried starting it today and its toast. the power steering belt was rapped around crank gear. Stinks but what do ya do. have to look into a salvage motor.
