Talking 08 Elantra Performance Mods

Hello, Im looking for performance parts for my 08 elantra hd. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions, websites, or other ideas. Another question i have is what is the "computer" beside the stock air intake box. I recently bought a cai from weapon-r and it does not fit only because of this "computer." Can it be removed? Answers to these questions would be greatly appreciated!

That's the ECM, the entire brains of the engine control. Removing it means the car won't run. It's next to the factory air box because the air cools it and keeps it from overheating and failing. Removing the factory air box to install an aftermarket intake puts the ECM at risk of failure and would void the warranty on the ECM.

Mod in what way? Personally, if you want to go fast, I'd mod a RWD Genesis Coupe. The FWD Elantra and Tiburon make nice daily drivers and can be made quick and sporty, they will never be real sports cars.

Speed costs money. If you can't afford a Genesis, you probably can't afford to make an Elantra fast. It would probably cost you the difference in price (or close to it) to make it fast as a stock Genesis.
