Default 2002 Elantra Suspension Question

My 02 Elantra, 130k, is making a thumping noise that is associated w/ speed and seems to be coming from the driver's side rear. Just had tires replaced, and they had an uneven wear pattern around the circumference of the tire. Tire shop did an alignment, but said I may have a strut issue. Any ideas of other possible problems? How would I go about replacing struts?

Default RE: 2002 Elantra Suspension Question

You need to remove the strut and spring from the car. Have the spring compressed and removed then add the spring to the new strut and install the new strut/spring. Check http://www.hmaservice.com for the procedure.
