Well I a have 2001 tiburon it been setting for about 6 months.I finally got it out. I put gas in it and everytime the pump would click off like it was full but it had a half of tank in it. After spending 10 min. at the pump it was finally full then I went to start it and it would not start but after cranking a couple times it would start after that.It starts up right away.It only does that when i put gas in it.
Fuel pump. Gas it what lubricates your pump and keeps it healthy. I've seen this many times where a car sat a while and needed a new pump. From the sitting and not being started, the fuel sat stagnant in the tank and the pump completely dried out. Replace the pump and you'll be good.
well I have started it before. This is the first time I have put gas in it a while. it sat with a half of tank. if it was the pump would it sputter when i hammer it ? just wondering
