The next generation of Tiburon is on the way.
Rear wheel drive
2.4 litre TURBO
Later a 4.6 litre 32 valve V8, 400HP, fold away hard top.

The sorce is a very reliable inside source. Don't want to say too much about him and get him fired, LOL.
Decided to give it one more try since there is no way to unsubcribe from the board, ( very weird setup ).

The chances of the V8 getting used have become very slim due to the fact that would throw the Tiburon into the 30k price range. The motor alone is around 8k.
Hyundai has always made the Tiburon "the affordable sports car" and plans to keep it that way.
The 2.0 will be continued in the Tib as the base 4cyl, with the option of a Turbocharged I4.
The V6 is going to undergo a massive change in displacement from a 2.7 to a possible 3.3.

I've heard "Yes" to V8 and a turbo 4-cyl and I've head "No" to both.  There is just not credible info yet.

I'm hoping for a V8 but I'm not holding my breath.  The 350Z and the G35/G37 make due with a V6 so I'm guessing the RWD Tib will as well.  However, I don't think the 3.3L will be the choice.  I expect the 3.8 from the Azera and the Entourage.  That is the most logical choice.

I also expect a 4-cyl "base" model but while I do think there will be a turbo version, I don't think it will be available in the Unites States.  I expect the Turbo 4-cyl to be a European-only version.

Just a guess.  We'll hear the truth in a few months.
