Transmission cooler

Is anyone using an Auxiliary Tranny cooler on their vehicle?  I have considered doing this for awhile on our '06.  We don't tow anything, but given the delicate nature of these transmissions, adding something to keep temps down would greatly extend the life of the tranny.
If you do have one, how did you install it?

Hello I have a 2008 Accent and had a trailer hitch installed.  I knew I had to have a tranny cooler and oil cooler too.  The tranny cooler i went with is a extruded aluminum ( tube with fins) one pass design (straight through).  I originally wanted the tube style and couln't find
one to fit.  Actually going to a rod show I looked at the parts section and there was one similar
but designed as a 2 pass (down and back) thats the one I would recomend to be rid of more
heat.  Now with that Summit or Jegs sells oil cooler thermostats that will by-pass cool oil until
warmed up.  They work great. I had a hot rod shop install the stuff using the blue silicone hoses.  Hot rod shops install coolers all the time.  Now my oil cooler is actually a trans cooler from a junk yard out of a mid 80's ford truck.  They had factory trans coolers installed, they are a stack plate design (highly efficient).  In all I may go and have both replaced with the extruded alum. 2 pass design, they have a huge surface area and are very efficient. These coolers are sold by street rod vendors.  The sandwitch adaptor between the oil filter I got at
a speed shop, I havent seen them in Jegs or Summit.  Now with the oil adaptor you can't run
the hyundai oil filter anymore,  you have to get a filter with a  flat gasket (Microguard).  I had a oil change done and was leaking oil.  The stock filter has a raised edge and the adaptor has
some relieves that cut into the gasket.  Good Luck

My 1995 Mits galant has a factory trany cooler and it just flipped 200k, I think your idea makes sense.
